Key Responsibilities
As a Student Finance Officer, you will report to the Finance Manager and take on various responsibilities to ensure students receive the financial support they need.
1. Student Finance Guidance
- Provide accurate and up-to-date financial guidance to current and prospective students, particularly regarding student loans.
- Assist students in completing and submitting their Student Finance England (SFE) applications.
2. Financial Administration
- Administer and manage payments from Student Support Funds, maintaining detailed and accurate records of all financial transactions.

3. Resolving Student Queries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students facing issues with their student loan accounts.
- Handle Student Loan Company (SLC) change-of-circumstance cases promptly and effectively.

- Prepare termly attendance reports for the Attendance Officer.
- Liaise with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Work to improve financial systems and procedures, supporting the delivery of an efficient administrative process.
